Field Trip to US

Description: 

 The UBC IEEE Student Branch is very excited to announce an international field trip to the United States! The trip will take place after the final exams and before the graduation ceremonies in late May. We will be travelling to cities in Washington, California and Texas, and will visit a multitude of companies and research institutions. Some of the sites we will visit during our trip include:  

  • Microsoft
  • Boeing Company
  • UC Berkeley
  • NVIDIA Corporation
  • Tesla Motors
  • Intuitive Surgical
  • McKesson Healthcare

  • California ISO
  • Schlumberger
  • Texas A&M University

Fees: 

UBC Undergraduate  ECE Students (IEEE members) : $900

UBC Undergraduate  ECE Students (Non- IEEE members) : $1100

UBC Graduate  ECE Students : $1300

Trip costs includes international flights, domestic flights, city travel, hotel accomodation, select lunches. (IEEE membership is available for $35 annually. Contact ieee@ece.ubc.ca for more information)

Registration Deadline:   Open until 11:59pm Thursday, April 5th 2012. Please note that seats are very limited and only 20 spots are available.
